Thought captions could work like the closed caption system. Yet, it would be programmable to display all available thought captions, or an individual could select to view the thoughts of certain show characters.

Thought captions could also come as an add on benefit with the purchase of shows, movie, etc. Over the internet, such media content could have the thought captions preprogrammed into the purchased content, the media content could be created in a way that allows for the thought captions to come as add ons after appropriate content marking, or the media content could come preprogrammed with option of receiving marked (tagged) add ons.

The preprogrammed thought captions would consist of the moments in a show that conveys the most suspense, drama, et. cetera. In other words, the production team of the show would decide what moments of a show would be relevant for the placement of thought captions.

The add on thought captions would come about from a tagging feature that would integrated into the purchased media content, media player, etc.

When viewing media content with the integrated thought caption feature, viewers would be able to tag moments within such content in which they would like for thought captions to exist.

After receiving all the data compiled via viewer responses, the production team would be able to decide which moments in a show received an adequate number or responses to warrant the creation of thought caption add ons.

I appreciate being able to view show that are to my liking, mainly reality shows, yet, I would have a better viewer experience if thought captions were a reality.

I also believe that thought captions would help bring new life to children’s books, comic books, and so forth – especially when it pertains to the publications already sold, because thought captions would open up a new revenue stream.
