The majority of knowledgeable sports fans that play parlay tickets either win or miss their tickets by one failing selection-especially when they’re parlay picks are based on a ticket with either three or four selections on it.

Since gambling establishments which run parlay sports tickets are still in business, and are thriving in most cases, it’s safe to say that a lot more parlay tickets are misses than are hits.

Now if individuals didn’t allow their greed / irrational thoughts to cloud their rational thought process, they would be able to manipulate the betting system in their favor over the long haul. Thereby, steadily increasing their bets and winnings, and over time they would be able to see their initial investment appreciate several times over.

My whole/entire theory is based on two basic principles. First, the parlay ticket better must lose the majority of their tickets by no more than one losing team. And, second, the better must cross bet the entirety of all the tickets in which they submit.

The following are two examples of the cross betting and which I have in mind, using the parlay card system in my home state (Delaware), one example is of a parlay three pick, and the other is on the parlay for pick:

THREE PICK                     (ORIGINAL PICKS)                  FINAL SCORES

3 Falcons – 3 ½                        4 Redskins + 3 ½              24 to 17

7 Packers – 7 ½                        8 Colts + 7 ½                    27 to 30

5 Steelers – 3 ½                       6 Eagles plus 3 ½               16 to 14

1st CROSS PICK: 4 – 7 – 6

2nd CROSS PICK: 3 – 8 – 6

3rd CROSS PICK: 3 – 7 – 5

FOUR PICK                       (ORIGINAL PICKS)                     FINAL SCORES

3 Falcons – 3 ½                          4 Redskins + 3 ½                24 to 17

7 Packers – 7 ½                          8 Colts + 7 ½                      27 to 30

5 Steelers – 3 ½                         6 Eagles + 3 ½                    16 to 14

13 Bengals – 4 ½                       14 Dolphins + 4 ½               13 to 17

1st CROSS PICK: 4 – 7 – 6 – 14

2nd CROSS PICK: 3 – 8 – 6 – 14

3rd CROSS PICK: 3 – 7 – 5 – 14

4th CROSS PICK:  3 – 7 – 6 – 13

On both original tickets there is one losing pick (Packers), if the tickets were turned in with the original picks alone they would’ve been a total loss. However, if the two original tickets were turned in with their accompanied tickets that featured the cross bets, the individual that would’ve submitted such tickets would’ve turned a profit, because two of the nine tickets would’ve been winners (2nd parlay 3 cross pick and 2nd parlay 4 cross pick).

In Delaware, the parlay 3 pick pays out takes dollars and $6.50 for every $1.00 waged on a winning ticket, and $11.00 for every $1.00 wagered on a winning parlay four pick. Therefore, the better would’ve made a profit of $250 from a $400 investment in the three pick and a $500 profit from a $500 investment into the four pick.

If an individual had an average losing streak of two one misses out of every three losing tickets they would still make a profit using such a cross betting system. For example, if a better turned in 3 three pick tickets at the $400 investment level cited above, and won 2 of the three tickets they would’ve still made $100 profit. Also, if the same better turned in 3 four pick tickets at the $500 investment level cited above, and won two of the three tickets they would’ve still made a $500 profit.

In short, there is a relatively easy way to game the parlay gaming system. However, in Delaware pay close attention to rule number seven on the parlay card which states the following:

“The Delaware lottery reserves the right to refuse any wager /multiple cards or delete or limit any selection(s) prior to the acceptance of any wager.”
