There are a lot of creative ways to use one commercial to advertise two or more products and/or services. Yet, most present day TV commercial collaborations are either ineffective in one way or the other or watered down. Such flawed TV commercials lacked one crucial component, balanced exposure.

Now, when I state balanced exposure, I, in no way suggest that each and every commercial collaboration should dole out equal exposure to every product and/or service being advertised. I am merely stating that each product and/or service being advertised should be highlighted in a relevant way which is both impactful and memorable.

It is my belief that reveling commercial collaborations between service providers and/or product companies, and Google, based on the potential future uses of Google glasses, would give Google and the advertised product and/or service an equal playing ground for exposure. And such a collaboration would give the viewer an impactful and memorable viewer experience. By showing the viewer the future capabilities of smart glasses while simultaneously highlighting the product and/ or service being advertised.

There are many ways that such collaborations could work, and I might touch up on a few of them in the future. Yet, for the time being I will focus on the following example, which deals with soda corporations, Coke and Pepsi, and their use of soda cap prize giveaways.

I remember buying soda bottles that featured such under the cap prize giveaways, and it was fun to peek under the cap to see whether or not I had won a prize, and normally I won nothing or was given a code to verify whether or not I won a prize. Unlike most of the people I knew I never checked into whether or not the code was a winner. However if I was able to use smart glasses such as Google glasses to verify whether or not I won a prize I would have. Therefore, I believe such a commercial collaboration between Coke or Pepsi, and Google glasses would be perfect to highlight the old way and the future way of decoding soda cap prize codes.

The commercial could feature a split screen showing the same individual in two different time frames, on the left side and earlier date, and on the right side a later date (left, pre-smart glasses, and right smart glasses).

The left screen and right screen would feature the same individual walking into the same local store buying the same type of soda, and walking out checking under the cap to see whether or not they won a price.

In the left screen the individual would see the verification code and have a (thought caption) about manually typing the info into a smart phone, at which time the thought caption pops. At such an instance of coming to such an individual shakes their head at such a “ridiculous task,” and toss the cap into a nearby trash can.

In the right screen individual would look at a QR activation code on the side of the soda bottle and then at the code under the soda cap, and such actions would automatically notify the smart glasses wearer whether or not they won a prize.

For a dramatic spin on things the right screen would show the individual winning a soda… Then both screens would go blank, shortly thereafter the dual screen format would be replaced by single screen replaying the earlier cap toss.

The cap would freeze in mid-air underbelly facing up, and “code verification” would flash across the screen followed by a notification that the cap tosser would have won a brand-new car.

The commercial would be intriguing in many ways. First, the viewer would have to follow both screens. Second, the viewer would be entertained by the thought of the individual throwing away a brand-new car. And third, and most important, a lot of viewers would recall throwing away the same types of coded caps and wonder “what if?”

Google glasses will impact a wearer’s life in many meaningful ways throughout their life time, and give such wearer’s a vehicle to pass on valuable / priceless memories to their loved one’s superseding their death.

It’s easy to visualize how wearer’s of such glasses (smart glasses) will use such a device to tag / record meaningful moments within the course of their lifetime and save all of such positive memories for later viewing and / or use…. And even for saving within personalized web time capsules that would be forwarded after death, to the individual or individuals specified on such time / memory capsules.

Such time / memory capsules (T.M. capsules) would provide the receiver with heartfelt memories from the deceased that would help console them in their grieving process, and give them something positive to reflect on in times of hardship.

In these times individuals can find ways to record and save special moments captured on video camera, however, some of the most valuable moments in life occur when video cameras aren’t being used, therefore smart glasses will be able to capture the same moments that video cameras normally record, and capture the moments that normal video cameras miss.

The T.M. capsule memories would be of a more intimate nature, if the recorded moments forwarded were viewable from the vantage points of all of the people involved in the captured moments of significance….

I could go on and on about such a topic, yet, I will resist the urge to ramble on – especially since you (the reader) can adequately fill in the blanks.

The future uses of Google glasses will enhance a user’s life experiences in many ways, such life enhancements will vary from the menial to the highest levels of social interactions and experiences.

A lot of such future social enhancements are relatively simple to foresee – especially when factoring in the usability/functionality of apps, technological advancements, et cetera. Therefore, it’s easy to visualize some of the positive impacts that such a device will create for the wearer of such a gadget.

There are a lot of ways in which I can vision using “smart glasses,” but one of the most entertaining ways to use such would be in measuring the truthfulness and / or deceitfulness of individual’s statements in the course of conversations.

Since there are relevant correlations between individual’s facial expressions/body language and the truthfulness and / or deceitfulness of their statements such physical cues can and will be analyzed and interpreted in the future through the use of smart glasses and imbedded software (apps, et cetera).

Now grant it, as with any type of device created to predict an individual’s level of honesty, such as the polygraph, there will never be a 100% level of accuracy rating, however since facial cues are pretty much natural responses that are ingrained in the physical fabric of humanity, it not difficult to create analytical software that would interpret facial cues within a range of eighty to ninety something percentage of accuracy.

An individual wearing smart glasses would be able to record entire conversations with other individuals, and save such data for examination at a later time yet, they could also receive live analytical feedback in the course of conversations.

Live analytical feedback would work perfectly in a lot of situations, such as in the process of job interviews, interrogations, and so forth. Such feedback would provide the questioner with real-time information that would either support and/or counter the answers given by the responder.

I could go on and on about the many situations that such facial analytical software would be useful in. such as in disputes among couples altercations within families mainly between parent and child), et cetera. Yet, I’ll leave it up to the reader’s (your) imagination to fill in the blanks.
